The first annual Senior Starz auditions will be staged at the Art Expo at the Dixie center February 22 & 23. This will lead to two elimination concerts on March 15th and 22nd and a grand finale broadcast concert in early April.

This is the senior version of the American Idol competition. All contestance must be 50 years and older. The initial audition will be a 2 minute or less solo vocal performance with no accompaniment. The illumination concerts will be rehearsed and performed with recorded or live accompaniment.

This event is sponsored by the St. George Musical Theatre as a fund raiser for their new building. A part in an up coming musical will be one of the grand prizes as well as a local recording contract and opportunity to progress on to a regional and eventually national competition.
